Wednesday, April 16, 2025

London, 16 April 2025: Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK), a leading specialist insurer, today announces it has appointed Oliver Delaney as Departmental Head of Liability with immediate effect, as it continues to cement its role as a market leader in the class.

Delaney brings two decades of industry experience to the role, 14 years of which have been spent at TMK where he most recently held the role of Divisional Head of Liability. He has played a significant role in growing TMK’s liability book from its inception to one of the largest and most established International General Liability books in the Lloyd’s market.

He is exceptionally well placed to drive commercial opportunities and maintain TMK's outstanding service offering for brokers and insureds, as the team sets its sights on scaling up its liability book.

The news comes as TMK further strengthens its leadership positions and capabilities across its portfolio.

Vivek Syal, CUO at TMK, said:
“TMK has solidified our position as a market leader in the liability space over the past 14 years, and Ollie has played a key role in this achievement. Through his leadership of our highly experienced and long-standing Liability team, we will ensure continued outstanding service and expertise for our brokers and clients, and set ourselves up well for our growth ambitions. Ollie’s experience and knowledge of TMK is unrivalled, making him perfect for the role, and I look forward to seeing the results he and our team will continue to deliver.”

Oliver Delaney, Departmental Head of Liability at TMK, adds:
“TMK is known for its market leading offering and capabilities in this class, and has the team, skills and expertise to match. We’re in an exciting phase of development as we look to cement this position and further our success. It’s an honour to step into the leadership role. I look forward to working with Vivek on our vision for the team.”
