Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK) today announces the appointment of Joe Pickford to its aviation division in Singapore as aviation underwriter, effective immediately.   

Pickford brings nine years of aviation broking and underwriting experience to TMK. He joins from Gallagher, where he was responsible for liaising across international markets to service accounts within the Asia Pacific region. Prior to that, he held aviation underwriting roles at Sirius International Group and Asia Capital Reinsurance Group.

TMK is the largest insurer of Aviation risks on the Lloyd’s Asia platform by GWP and has written aviation business since 1976. Pickford will focus on providing bespoke solutions for clients and brokers in response to growing demand.

This appointment follows the continued development and expansion of TMK’s business in the Asia Pacific region, where it has operated since 2007. Other recent new hires include special risks underwriter, Cindy Gunawan, and cyber underwriter, Sam Bye.
