TMK further strengthens Credit and Political Risk team with new leadership roles
Monday, November 2, 2026
London, 2 November 2026: Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK), a leading international specialty insurer, today announces the appointment of Daisy Altwegg and the promotion of Iwan Jenkins as it continues to grow its Credit, Political Risk and Investment (CPRI) business. Both report to James Wilson, Departmental Head of Special Risks.
Daisy joins TMK from Everest Insurance, where she was Head of Credit and Political Risk, Europe while Iwan steps into an expanded leadership role following an exceptional first year with the business. Together, they will lead TMK's London Credit and Political Risk team, further enhancing its offering for brokers and clients navigating an increasingly interconnected risk landscape.
Daisy brings more than 15 years of experience, having previously held underwriting roles at SCOR, Aspen Insurance and Hiscox. During her career, she has underwritten a broad range of credit and political risks, with market leading expertise in asset-backed finance.
Iwan's promotion recognises the role he has played in developing TMK's Credit and Political Risk portfolio since joining in September 2025. Over the past year, he has helped strengthen the business's market position and broaden its capabilities for clients and brokers.
These latest moves reflect TMK's ongoing investment in its CPRI capabilities following George Bibby’s arrival in August 2026. Together, Daisy and Iwan will further develop the business's growing offering across credit, political risk and contract frustration insurance. Their appointments underline TMK’s ambition to build leading capabilities across Special Risks, including Political Violence and Terrorism, Trade Disruption Insurance and Transactional Liability. This one team enables TMK to help clients navigate complex cross-border risks and transactions in a fast-changing world
Commenting on the appointments, James Wilson said:
"Daisy joins us with an outstanding reputation in the market and a proven track record of leadership, while Iwan's promotion reflects the exceptional contribution he has made since joining TMK. Together, they bring deep technical expertise, strong market relationships, a client first attitude and complementary perspectives that will help us to further expand our offering.
"Our aim is straightforward. We want brokers and clients to think of TMK when they need an engaged underwriting partner that can respond quickly, understand complex transactions and provide consistent support over the long term as their needs evolve. Daisy and Iwan will play a central role in helping us achieve that."
Backed by the Tokio Marine Group's global balance sheet and with a locally empowered underwriting team, TMK remains focused on delivering responsive service, specialist underwriting expertise, and long-term relationships.
