Tokio Marine Kiln has appointed Thomas McShane to the newly created role of Head of Technology and Media E&O. He joins the business in January, and will report directly into Laila Khudairi, Departmental Head of Cyber & Enterprise Risk.
McShane will be responsible for strengthening and further diversifying TMK’s global cyber and technology offering, with a focus on supporting technology and media businesses. His expertise in Technology E&O complements and enhances the team’s renowned cyber and IP offering.

Prior to this, he spent nearly seven years at Allianz and AIG, underwriting professional indemnity lines and cyber.
The appointment reflects both TMK’s continued growth in the London market and its commitment to specialty lines of business in all regions.
Laila Khudairi, Departmental Head of Cyber and Enterprise at TMK, comments:
“TMK has been at the forefront of the cyber market since its inception. In this rapidly evolving class, we have continually sought to evolve and diversify our offering, bringing a level of threat analysis, underwriting expertise and claims service which is second to none. Appointing Thomas to deepen and extend our offering to technology businesses is the latest example of our philosophy in practice. The risk landscape for technology businesses is becoming more complex by the day. Threat actors are increasingly sophisticated, and AI is adding new weapons to their arsenals.
