TMK expands Property & Motor Underwriting capability with new hire

Thursday, February 26, 2026

London, 26 February 2026: Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK), a leading specialist insurer, is pleased to announce that Lauren Storer has joined as an Underwriter in its Property & Motor division, reporting to Neil Robertson, Divisional Head of Open Market Property.

Storer brings more than 13 years of underwriting experience to the role, with a strong track record across Direct & Facultative (D&F) property business, spanning Lloyd’s, the company market, and global reinsurance platforms. Most recently, she served as Senior Underwriter at Lancashire Insurance Company, where she led the development and execution of the International Strategy for its D&F business and played a key role in forecasting, performance monitoring, and client engagement across multiple global territories.

Prior to this, she spent over a decade at Munich Reinsurance Company, building a diverse portfolio of U.S. and international property risks, contributing to the development of digital underwriting tools, and establishing deep market expertise across the U.S., Caribbean, Middle East, Australasia, and Latin America. During this time, she also mentored junior underwriters and represented the underwriting function in senior internal and client-facing forums.

Storer’s appointment further enhances TMK’s market‑leading Property & Motor division, which is consistently recognised for its underwriting bench strength and service excellence in the London Market. With a portfolio spanning key international territories, her broad experience and strategic approach align strongly with the division’s ambitions across both open market and delegated authority business.

Neil Robertson, Divisional Head of Open Market Property at TMK, said:

“Lauren brings a thoughtful and disciplined approach to underwriting that fits well with how we work as a team. We pride ourselves on strong technical judgement, being accessible to brokers, and taking the time to understand risks first-hand, and Lauren shares that mindset. Her international experience will be particularly valuable as we continue to expand our portfolio offering and I’m looking forward to the perspective she will add as we continue to evolve the book and respond to our clients’ needs throughout the market cycle.”
