Wednesday, September 3, 2025

London, 3 September 2025: Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK), a leading international specialty insurer, today announces the appointment of Iwan Jenkins as Credit Underwriter, within the Special Risks team.

Jenkins brings more than a decade of experience in credit and political risk underwriting to the role, most recently serving as a Senior Underwriter at AXIS, where he has spent the past seven years. Prior to this, he spent over five years at Novae.

Jenkins’ appointment will further strengthen TMK’s expertise in a class that represents a key strategic growth area for the business. Jenkins will focus on further expanding TMK’s presence in the market and will report into James Wilson who joins TMK as Head of Special Risks later this month.

Iwan Jenkins, Credit Underwriter at TMK, said: “TMK’s Special Risks team has a strong reputation in the market for both innovation and growth, and I’m excited to be a part of it. I hope my expertise can help to expand TMK’s offering and allow the team to cement its status as a market-leader in Credit and Special Risks.”

Vivek Syal, Chief Underwriting Officer at TMK, said: “Iwan joins at an exciting time for TMK, with plans to expand our capabilities and strengthen or build our lead market positions in a number of key classes by 2030. With Iwan’s wealth of experience and strong track record of delivery, the Special Risks team is well-positioned to take advantage of the significant opportunities in the market.”
