Tokio Marine Kiln strengthens Property capabilities in Asia Pacific
Monday, March 25, 2024
ASIA: Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK) today announces the appointment of Jonathan Grossman to its property division in Singapore as underwriter, effective immediately.
Grossman brings nine years’ experience in the industry, writing property business across Australia and New Zealand. He joins TMK’s Asia Pacific team from Chubb in New Zealand, where he was responsible for managing the property strategy and portfolio. Prior to that, he held property underwriting roles at Liberty Specialty Markets and Allianz. At TMK, he will focus on writing business across the Asia Pacific region, as well as Australia and New Zealand, given his network and experience in those markets.
This appointment follows the promotion of Si Min Lim to property underwriter earlier this month, in response to growing client demand. Si Min has nine years’ experience in the industry and joined TMK in 2021. In this role, Si Min will support TMK’s continued growth aspirations in the region, with a particular focus on managing its facility and line slip business.
Jamie Tang, Regional Underwriting Director, Asia Pacific said: “TMK is proud to be one of the largest insurers operating in the specialist Lloyd’s market in Asia Pacific and we have ambitious plans to grow our book. Our underwriters’ expertise extends across numerous property classes, including providing reinsurance for industries such as government and real estate, manufacturing, and food and beverage. Our capabilities will be bolstered with the addition of Jonathan and with Si Min’s enhanced focus.”
TMK has an established presence in Singapore, with locally empowered underwriters and claims experts focused on specialist classes including aviation, fine art and specie, marine cargo, special risks, cyber, and accident and health.
